Steve Jobs (founder of iconic Apple brand)  once said “Your work is going to fill a large part of your life, and the only way to be truly satisfied is to do what you believe is great work. And the only way to do great work is to love what you do. If you haven’t found it yet, keep looking. Don’t settle.”

It is this thinking that resonated with the founder so much, that eventually she found the courage move from a corporate career and start her own business doing what she really loved. Amanda studied marketing and advertising which took her to London where she worked in a top 10 advertising agency for several years.

After 17 years in London, the family moved back to their much loved Cape Town in 2011 in order to give the children an upbringing closer to nature and family. Once “home”, Amanda hoped to combine her knowledge of working in the media industry, with her passion and love of creating beautiful spaces.  This is how in September 2013, www.vintage-etc.com was born.

family Dashchund  – Bailey. He arrived in the household at the same time that Vintage-etc launched their first exhibition in Cape Town where they won two awards for Design Excellence.  Vintage-etc is now purely an online store only and they have seen their online purchases double every year as the market becomes more confident in buying online.  Shoppers deal directly with Amanda and her team and they assure you of a personalised, small but efficient business mentality.  They offer discounts for bulk purchases and a trade discount for decorators and the hospitality industry.

As they look to expand their online portfolio, they look for more suppliers. If you have home ware products you would like Vintage-etc sell on your behalf, please get in touch with Amanda at info@vintage-etc.com and attach photos of your products.

The-Vendory-Logo-PNG-imgThe success of Vintage-etc.com has allowed the team to branch into another website that operates as a market-place for the best vendors, selling high-end home ware, accessories and gifts . www.thevendory.com allows vendors to sell directly to the shoppers on a commission basis and each vendor has their own micro-site to display their best sellers. Currently under construction, it will be trading by April 2017. All pieces on both websites are hand picked to help our shoppers go directly to the best of the best.

If you would to apply to be a Vendor on TheVendory.com please go to www.thevendory.com and click on “become a seller” to apply as an online vendor.
